I thought it was just rice, but the truth turned out to be much worse

😱 The Morning I Found “Rice Grains” in My Bed. I woke up to find strange white grains on my sheets. At first, I thought my husband had spilled rice — until I noticed one of them moved. My stomach dropped.

After searching online, I realized they were bedbug eggs.

📌 What They Look Like:

  • About 1 mm long

  • White, oval, shiny

  • Often hidden in mattress seams, furniture cracks, or behind baseboards

📌 The Risk:

  • Hatch in 6–10 days into blood-feeding larvae

  • Bites cause itching, irritation, allergies, and insomnia

📌 How They Spread:

  • Suitcases after travel

  • Used furniture or clothes

  • Even through walls and vents from neighbors

📌 How to Get Rid of Them:

  • Deep clean, vacuum seams and cracks

  • Wash fabrics at 60°C+

  • Use steam on mattresses and furniture

  • Best option: call pest control to avoid re-infestation

If I hadn’t spotted those “grains,” within a week I would’ve had a full-blown infestation.
